As my social has grown from a fun hobby into something much bigger, I've gotten a lot of great questions about how it all works — from how spots are chosen to how partnerships happen and everything in between. This page is here to give you a little more insight into the “Let’s Have Lunch” world, how I support local restaurants, and how you can be part of the journey.

How do you choose where to go?

Recommendations come from everywhere! Followers, friends, local buzz, and places that simply look too good not to try. Many of the restaurants featured are suggested by the community, so if there’s somewhere you think I should check out, be sure to send it to me at my Suggest A Spot page.

Why are your reviews always positive? Do you ever post anything negative?

My goal has always been to support local restaurants and highlight the best of what our food community has to offer. I go into every place looking for something great! Whether it’s a standout dish, welcoming atmosphere, or the people behind the business.

If I try something that just isn’t for me, I simply won’t feature it and will focus instead on items that I can genuinely recommend. That approach isn’t about being inauthentic. It’s about staying true to the mission of supporting local businesses and spreading positivity rather than tearing anyone down.

Do restaurants pay you to visit?

My journey started with completely unpaid visits where I chose where to go and paid out of pocket. That still happens 99% of the time.

Partnerships are now available for businesses that want to use my content as a marketing tool and receive additional exposure through scheduled features, planning, and promotional support. These are optional opportunities and guarantee a feature. The majority of my content will always remain on a whim and organic.

Why are you doing paid partnerships now? Is this just about money?

Not at all. I have been creating content and supporting local restaurants out of pocket since the beginning. Over time, those costs add up.

 

Partnerships simply provide an optional way for businesses to gain additional exposure with strategic planning, promotion, and boosted reach while helping make the content sustainable long-term. Many visits will always remain unscheduled and independent. This approach allows everyone to benefit while keeping the mission the same: supporting local restaurants and sharing great food.

Do you work with businesses outside of Dayton?

Yes. I enjoy traveling and highlighting great food wherever I go. Partnership opportunities are open to restaurants and businesses both in and outside of the Dayton region.

Are you available for grand openings, festivals, or special events?

Yes. I am available for select grand openings, community events, and festivals. Scheduled appearances and coverage can help create buzz, capture content, and bring attention to your event.

Do you work with nonprofits?

Yes. I am a strong supporter of nonprofit organizations and community causes. Special opportunities are available for nonprofits looking to collaborate or gain exposure. If you’re part of a nonprofit and would like to connect, please reach out.

What’s your favorite place to eat?

That’s like asking me to pick a favorite child...it changes all the time. There are too many great spots to choose just one, which is exactly why I keep exploring.
